The mild winter, with limited snowfall, led to an early bud break between the end of February and March. Frequent rainfall during May and June then slowed vegetative development, restoring balance to the vine’s growth cycle and creating excellent water reserves in the soil. - Vineyard management and attention to fruit quality:
Spring rainfall required meticulous vineyard management to control downy mildew pressure and regulate vine vigor, making careful bunch thinning essential. - An ideal summer and cool nights:
The summer season, warm but without extreme heat peaks, ended with a September characterized by significant diurnal temperature variations. The drop in nighttime temperatures allowed Nebbiolo to gradually develop high-quality polyphenols. Harvest finally took place between the end of September and the first half of October under ideal conditions.
