1996-2000

2001-2003

2001: EXCEPTIONAL VINTAGE. A very classic year, with complex wines capable of expressing longevity and power in a way that few other vintages can. Fantastic products for those who enjoy waiting to taste the slow but fantastic result of ageing.
2002: MEDIOCRE VINTAGE. A vintage remembered for its abundant spring and summer rains, culminating in a dreadful hailstorm which destroyed many of the grapes in a large area of the Barolo zone. Nevertheless, in the areas which escaped damage from hail, it was possible to produce good wines, particularly for the late ripening varieties (Nebbiolo). One can find products with excellent colour intensity, an excellent fruity perfume and good body, supported by lively and important tannins.
2003: GREAT VINTAGE. Torrid heat in summer and little rain throughout the year, with consequent production of very smooth wines, with some varieties resulting rich, textured, balanced and decidedly pervasive. Another very rounded vintage.

2001-2003

2004-2006

2004: EXCEPTIONAL VINTAGE. Fantastic climatic trend with a perfect autumn which encouraged slow and complete ripening of the fruit. A vintage which will be remembered for elegance and balance, associated with an uncommon potency.
2005: GREAT VINTAGE. A year with a dry but not excessively hot summer and a slightly capricious autumn. Wines with good harmony, an excellent fruity element and a discreet tannic potency; on the whole, the young wines are already fairly well balanced and are destined to age well.
2006: EXCEPTIONAL VINTAGE. Perfect in the balance between rain and the summer heat, it presented a slightly early and remarkably rich and complex harvest. The entire production was absolutely outstanding and the Barolos will be really special, both in terms of longevity and harmony!

2004-2006

2007-2009

2007: EXCEPTIONAL VINTAGE. It began with an unusually hot and dry winter, making expectations rather poor! There was little rainfall, but at just the right times, summer temperatures weren’t excessively high and were accompanied by cool nights, preventing too much hydro-stress and allowing the grapes to fully ripen. Once again, a fabulous vintage!!
2008: EXCEPTIONAL VINTAGE. The positive climate trend at the beginning of the year and in the spring, with a long period of stability in terms of weather conditions towards the end of the summer– with mild days and cool nights – gave us an excellent harvest of all the varieties. It is an excellent vintage, especially for the Nebbiolo grape! Harmoniously classic!
2009: The year started with a winter that saw heavy snowfall and a rainy early spring that ensured an excellent water reserve in the soil. After that the weather was slightly irregular (depending on the area) but here in Serralunga it was great; once again we have a complex and very interesting vintage! Wonderful!

2007-2009

2010-2012

2010: EXCEPTIONAL VINTAGE. While the weather was certainly “cooler” than in other vintages, we can affirm that this one is unique and comes back to reward, above all, the “great vineyards” of the Langa territory. It is a vintage of absolute importance, certainly among the best, especially for the late varieties and thus the Barolo! Remarkably complex!
2011: GREAT VINTAGE. This vintage year was characterised by strongly fluctuating weather conditions, with temperatures that were much colder than normal in some weeks and much higher than normal in other weeks. This situation led some varieties to give us extraordinary wines, while other varieties were a bit more work. Overall it is a very good vintage with some peaks of absolute quality, low yields in the vineyard and a very interesting aromatic profile. Rich bouquets and charming.
2012: GOOD VINTAGE. Another vintage marked by a fluctuating climate trend, with an unusually cold winter and a very dry and warm summer. Rainfalls in early September gave us some worries, but a great Autumn was crucial to achieve perfect ripening, especially concerning the Nebbiolo, showing beautiful fruit freshness. A vintage of great varietal purity.

2010-2012

2013-2014

2013: GREAT VINTAGE. Cool vintage, marked by a typical winter, but a particularly wet Spring which delayed the start of the growing season. The great climate trend in Summer and Autumn, warmer and drier, gave us a generous harvest and great quality grapes, with amazing acidity. A vintage of great freshness and tannic structure. Powerful and log-lived.
2014: VERY GOOD VINTAGE. An unusual vintage. A warm and snowless Winter determined a very early start of the growing season. Unluckily, bad weather marked most of Spring and Summer, causing a delay in the phenolic development and some difficulties in the vineyards. Autumn was crucial: a decisive weather improvement, together with the optimal expositions and the vintner’s expertise gave us great grapes. Yields are very low and quality is great, especially the Nebbiolo.
